Wilsons Promontory

We took a long weekend trip to Wilsons Promontory National Park with the rest of the Aussie family. We camped for four days and had a great time. Wilsons Promontory is approximately 35 sq miles of beautiful scenery. Wilisons Promontory is the most southern part of Australia (other then the island of Tasmania). They had a cafeteria/restaurant and a grocery store with NO alcohol (Luckily we had enough...haha.). They also had an outdoor movie theater on the campsite, yes a movie theater! How could we pass that up, so we went and saw "We Bought a Zoo" (it was the only movie playing). We spent our days hanging around our campsite, LOTS of hiking trips, cooking food, playing games, and just enjoying our time in the great outdoors. With 3 small stoves (2 propane & 1 methylated spirits) we successfully cooked Curry, Sausages Sandwiches, Pasta, and Eggs. Best of all, we were right by the beach. On our way home we stopped into a few wineries. Many Shiraz wines are produced in Australia.

We hiked to squeaky beach, watch to see how it gets its name.

Its not camping without some good old fashioned calf wrangling.

Cooking for 6 on small stoves.

Rest of the pictures.

Time for some wine.
